Ibanez Artwood Traditional line of guitars searches for the perfect blend of vintage, traditional features and modern appointments dictated by the technology and standard development. This series plays a prominent role within the acoustics department, as well as on the market, between the budget friendly acoustics. For 2012, it is updated with AW70, which is a non-cutaway dreadnought guitar with a body made of sapele back and sides and solid spruce top. The top binding and sound hole rosette match each other, and are both done in black and white. Vintage style pickguard is present on both the black gloss and natural gloss color options. The bridge is made of rosewood and it features a characteristic Artwood shape with Ivorex II saddle and Advantage bridge pins. AW70 is a fully acoustic guitar made for beginners and players on a tight budget. The neck on this model is made of mahogany and it features a dovetail joint at the steel-stringer`s standard 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and it sports 20 frets, dot position inlays, 1.69" wide Ivorex II string nut and 11.80" radius. Standard 25-1/2" scale and Ibanez die-cast chrome-plated tuners complete the specs.
