Standard Series Acoustic Guitars by Martin
Standard Series Acoustic Guitars by Martin
C.F. Martin`s dreadnought was first introduced in 1916, as a special model made exclusively for Oliver Ditson company. It took almost 20 years for Martin to offer the dreadnought to the general public. Quickly enough, the dread became the new standard and the most popular acoustic guitar on the market, which it still is today.
2017 version of the legendary D-28 comes in with a non-cutaway dreadnought body, standard 25-2/5" scale, classic Martin styling, and supreme build and tone quality. Main construction features include solid East Indian rosewood back & sides, solid Sitka spruce top (forward shifted X bracing), solid hardwood neck (modified low oval profile) and 20-fret ebony fingerboard.
The new D-28 dreadnought also features a solid ebony bridge and open-gear tuning machines.
