Martin D-28 Authentic 1937 Aged
Authentic Series Acoustic Guitars by Martin
Authentic Series Acoustic Guitars by Martin
D-28, though it started out in 1930, had its most iconic incarnations made for 1937 and 1939 model years (something like 1957 and 1959 Les Pauls). Countless musicians, professional and amateur alike, grew up, played their biggest concerts and recorded their biggest hits on a D-28.
In 2017, Martin pays a special tribute to the 1937 version with the D-28 Authentic 1937 Aged. It is a non-cutaway guitar with aged wood, authentic styling, and a huge tone. Core construction features include Madagascar rosewood back & sides, solid Adirondack spruce soundboard, genuine mahogany neck (authentic 1937 profile), and 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony (1937 authentic inlays, 25.4" scale, 1.75" bone nut).
Other notable features include a solid ebony bridge, aged nickel tuners, and 1937 forward-shifted X bracing.
