Exotic series is one of three currently active and available acoustic guitar lines made by Mitchell Guitars. As its name suggests, the Exotic series deals with models made of exotic materials. The current lineup, made of two models (MX400, MX420) sports materials such as quilt ash, ovangkol, bubinga. MX420 is the more expensive (around $450) of two Exotic series models; it offers a single-cut grand auditorium body (Venetian cutaway, forward shifted X-bracing), 14th fret dovetail joint, Mitchell electronics, as well as Mitchell hardware. Midnight Black and Antique Sunburst are the names of the available color options. Main construction features include quilted ash burl body (laminated backs and sides, solid top), mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Mitchell` CE304T preamp, fixed rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuners complete this beautiful steel-stringer.
