The Protege series is one of four currently active lines of acoustic guitars, made under the Norman brand. Other three include Expedition, Encore, and Studio. Protege models are, along with the rest of the catalog, made in La Patrie, Quebec, Norman`s base town (La Patrie is home to several other brands, as well). B15 is the basic, standard model of the Protege series; it offers a non-cutaway dreadnought body (cherry back & sides, cedar top), 14th fret dovetail neck joint, stock hardware, and vintage styling. Brown (w/semi-gloss finish, chrome-plated hardware, tortoise pickguard) the only available color option. Other notable features include a solid silver leaf maple neck, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard (TUSQ nut, 24.84" scale, dot inlays, 16" radius), fixed rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuners.
