Norman Guitars is a Canadian brand of affordable acoustic/acoustic-electric guitars, based in the town of La Patrie, Quebec (along with several other Canadian brands). All of its models are made in the town, by local luthiers, and of locally sourced materials. The current catalog has four series - Expedition, Protege, Encore, and Studio, with B18 12 being the designated twelve-stringer of the Protege line. Main features include a non-cutaway dreadnought body, 14th fret dovetail joint, stock hardware, and vintage styling. Natural (w/semi-gloss finish, creme binding, tortoise pickguard, chrome hardware) is the only available color option. Other notable features include a silver leaf maple neck, 21-fret fingerboard made of rosewood, fixed rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuning machines. Optionally, B18 12 can be ordered with Fishman electronics (pickup/preamp system).
