Recording King is a brand known for the vintage acoustic guitars and folk instruments. Though the dreadnought guitars make up about twenty to thirty percent of the catalog, other shapes such as OM, Parlor or 000 also have their fair share. In recent years, RK has started expanding into the jumbo territory. Thus far, only two models have been introduced into the lineup - RJ-06 and RJ-116. 116 is the more expensive option. It offers a non-cutaway jumbo body made of high grade wood and vintage styling and tone. Mahogany is used for the back and sides with a solid spruce sound board on top. Black pickguard, triple rosette and a fixed rosewood bridge are featured on the top. Mahogany neck is set in at the standard 14th fret. It features the contemporary C profile in the back and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top.
