Twelve-string guitars are a special breed, so similar, yet so different from the six-stringers. Even though it may seem on the first look that the two might have the same specs lists, in reality it is not so same. Twelve-stringers require wider necks, wider bridges and other different appointments, such as tuning machines. Blueridge makes some awesome twelve-stringed guitars in it`s Contemporary series. BR-40 12 is a non-cutaway guitar with the body made of mahogany back and side panels and spruce sound board on top. It is paired with a one-piece mahogany neck through a 14th fret dovetail joint. Neck is also equipped with a low profile contour in the back and 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. Vintage-styled tuners are plated in chrome.
