There is not much twelve-stringed models below the $1,000 mark, and there`s even less twelve stringers which can compete with Blueridge`s BR-142 12. For, this one is made with maximum dedication and quality possible for the price tag of $1,000. It comes with a non-cutaway body made of mahogany back and sides with spruce sound board on top. Mahogany and spruce are found on countless other acoustics, as well, for they form a fantastic pair. Black binding, tortoise shell pickguard and double circle rosette are featured on and around the top panel. Bridge section is a regular one, featuring belly contour rosewood bridge with bone saddle. Neck is made of a single piece of mahogany and it sports a 14th-fret dovetail joint. 20-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood.
