Gitane Acoustic Series Acoustic Guitars by Saga
DG-255 is a Selmer-Maccaferri styled acoustic guitar made by Gitane. It comes with an affordable price tag of $995, but the playability and tone leave impression of a much more expensive guitar. This one is made of rosewood, spruce, mahogany and ebony. Rosewood is only used on the body for the back and side panels with spruce cover on the top. Mahogany is found only on the neck, as it comprises a one-piece neck with standard back contour and 14th fret dovetail joint. Ebony on this model is used for the bridge section, as well as for the fingerboard. Ebony bridge is paired with a decorative trapezoid tailpiece and fingerboard sports 21 frets with white dot position inlays. Hardware installed on the headstock is plated in gold.
