GS is a series of models with grand symphony-shaped bodies made by Taylor. These are fully acoustic with no electronics installed on them. GS5 opens the series as an entry model and it`s equipped with a non cutaway variant of the GS body. GS is slightly smaller than grand auditorium and is generally classified among the small standard shapes, despite it`s name which suggests a big body. It comes in natural color with high gloss finish. Body is made of mahogany back and sides and cedar top. Top is bound in ivoroid binding and equipped with a single circle rosette. In the bridge section standard Taylor bridge made of ebony is installed. Mahogany neck is paired with an ebony fingerboard. 20 frets, dot inlays and 1.75" wide TUSQ nut complete the fingerboard.
