Out of three Parlor series models introduced at 2015 NAMM, this is the intermediate option. WP26 is the top model, while the WP11 is the new series opener. Compared to the 26, this 21 comes across as the standard, a bit more modest variant of the vintage-styled 26. Both feature rosewood back and sides, and identical measurements such as scale length (24-3/4"), nut width (1.73"), body width, depth, etc. The biggest difference between these two gorgeous parlors is found in the body top wood category. Where 26 features the classic Sitka spruce sound board, 21 boasts the solid cedar alternative, orienting the 21 more towards the rhythm and strumming duties. But, the quarter-sawn sitka spruce bracing remains the same. Rosewood bridge is fixed on the sound board, and features a genuine bone saddle, as well as black string pins. Fishman`s Sonitone electronics transfer the marvelous tone of the unplugged WP21 with perfect fidelity. Neck on this model is made of mahogany, and is fit with a two-way truss rod on the inside. 18-fret rosewood fingerboard sits on its top. White binding, simple dot inlays and 1.73" bone nut complete the fingerboard. Gold-plated and open-geared, the tuning machines sit in the classic 3+3 arrangement on the vintage-styled headstock.
