The current incarnation of the Washburn`s Parlor series is based on the design and construction solutions used over a hundred years ago, when parlor-shaped guitars ruled the scene. Since then, the dreadnought and jumbo have taken over, causing the shift towards big-bodied acoustic guitars. Though the big acoustics still reign supremely, Washburn and several other manufacturers are still making high quality parlors, and keeping the flame of the golden age of the acoustics alive. For 2015, Washburn has introduced three brand new Parlor series models with vintage styling and construction. WP26SENS is one of them. It comes with a non-cutaway parlor-sized body made of rosewood back and sides with a solid spruce sound board on top. Natural color with satin finish and gold-plated hardware is the only color scheme available for this model. Electronics department is equipped with the high quality Fishman Sonitone system, which makes this model perfect for both the unplugged gigs, and recording sessions. Besides the body back and sides, WP26SENS, also features a rosewood bridge and rosewood fingerboard. Bridge is fit with a bone saddle, while the 18-fret fingerboard rocks the 1.73" bone nut. Fancy 1890s inlays are featured on the frets. Beneath the fingerboard, a mahogany neck is installed. Set of open-geared tuners with gold plating wraps up the specs list.
