Torres is a model from Cordoba`s Master series of classical nylon-stringed guitars. This model comes with only the best and finest tonewoods and hardware available to Cordoba luthiers. Along with other Master series models, Torres is hand made in California workshop. It kicks off with top grade Indian rosewood back and sides. All parts are made of solid wood, so Torres weighs more than the average laminated classical guitar. Top is made of, also solid, Englemann spruce to create the best possible foundation for a strong and clear tone. Bracing under the top is a very carefully made recreation of the 1856 Torres 7 fan bracing. This type of bracing does miracles for the small-bodied guitars such as Cordoba Torres. Top of the body is bound in Indian rosewood and features a traditional herringbone rosette around the central sound hole. Bridge is made of Indian rosewood, as well and it features a bone saddle. Traditional construction and design, as well as the ultimate reliability are the main features of this bridge. There are no electronics installed on, or within the body of this nylon-stringed marvel. Neck is made of Spanish cedar and is topped with a 19-fret fingerboard made of ebony. Traditionally, there are no position inlays on the fingerboard, only two side dot inlays (5th and 7th fret). Standard classical guitar construction leaves twelve of total 19 frets free on the neck. Also, these frets are standard size. 2" fingerboard nut is made of bone (same as the saddle on the bridge) and is considered a narrow one (classical guitars often have string nuts which exceed 2" in width). Gotoh tuners on the headstock are installed in the classic 3+3 pattern and are plated in gold. 25-1/5" scale and high gloss finish complete the specs list.
