Hofner was founded in 1887 and is one of the leading music instrument manufacturers from Germany. Classical guitars entered Hofner`s catalog in 1930 and have remained a part of it to this day. The Classical range offers dozens of models, ranging from beginner to custom shop classes. Classic series is, along with Carmencita, Classical range`s most affordable series. Classic Series HF18 is one of nine currently available Classic series models. It offers a full-sized body w/non-cutaway construction, 12th fret dovetail neck joint, 25-3/5" scale, stock hardware, and vintage styling. Main tonewood and hardware appointments include laminated laurel back & sides, solid spruce top (AA-grade), solid mahogany neck w/gloss finish & classical profile, 19-fret rosewood fingerboard, fixed rosewood bridge, and classical tuning pegs.
