Hofner`s classical guitar range dates back to 1930 when the first nylon-stringer under Hofner`s badge was produced. Classical guitars have remained one of the vital parts of Hofner catalog up to this day. The Classic series is a line of student guitars. It currently offers nine models, all electronics-free and hand-made in Hagenau, Germany. Classic Series HZ23 comes in with a non-cutaway body (full-sized), 12th fret dovetail neck joint, 25-3/5" scale, Hofner`s own bracing pattern, and stock hardware. Main tonewood and hardware appointments include laminated mahogany back & sides, solid cedar soundboard (A+ grade), solid mahogany neck w/classical contour & gloss finish, 19-fret fingerboard w/1.96" nut & flat radius, fixed rosewood bridge, and classical tuning pegs. Hofner offers this model only in natural color.
