CWE series deals with cutaway models of the Studio class. Prices (minimum suggested prices) range from 900€ to around 2.500€. All of the models can be upgraded with Scherter or Fishman electronics, or MIDI units. Depending on the price range, CWE models feature combined laminated/solid or all-solid construction. S1CWE starts off with laminated mongoy (amazaque) back and sides and a solid German spruce top. The neck is made of cedar (the standard Ramirez neck, with 12th-fret dovetail joint), while the fingerboard on its top is made of ebony. The fingerboard has 19 classical frets, side dot inlays, tusq or bone nut and flat radius. Also, like all of the Studio models, S1CWE can be upgraded with electronics and MIDI equipment. Other main features include a rosewood bridge and gold-plated tuners.
