For the last 150 years nylon-stringed guitars are known as classical and they come in very standardized form. Yamaha has a long tradition of producing some of the finest classical guitars and the entire section of the catalog is dedicated only to her majesty, the nylon-stringed classical guitar. CG182S is placed within the CG series and it sports a non-cutaway variant of the body. Back and side panels on this model are made of rosewood and are combined with a spruce top. Spruce tops are more often associated with steel-stringed guitars, but a growing number of nylon-stringers comes with this option. Standard shaped bridge is made of rosewood. Neck is made of mahogany and it is topped with an ebony fingerboard. 19 frets, flat radius and 2.08" synthetic bone nut complete the fingerboard.
