As opposed to the SR series bolt-on necks, the SRT series steps it up a notch and introduces the neck-through-body construction along with SR series-like design, construction and hardware. The advantage of the the neck-through construction is more than obvious and this type of neck joint provides the stability bolted and glued necks can not achieve. SR800DX is the basic model of the SRT series and it comes with a modern double-cut mahogany body with flamed maple top. Amber and Transparent Gray color schemes are assigned to this model. They`re both matched with black hardware. Four saddled bridge is fronted with a pair of soapbar pickups. The neck is made of five pieces of maple and rosewood and it is topped with a regular 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
