SB CB model is dedicated to the late Cliff Burton of Metallica and it is the replica of the model he loved very much back in the 1980s. More than 20 years have passed since his tragic and untimely death, but Cliff`s legacy lives on through Metallica and heavy metal community. Sorely missed and still often mentioned, Cliff now has a dedicated Aria bass. This model is introduced just in time for the winter NAMM Show 2013 and that`s where it will debut before hitting the stores worldwide. Basically, it is a double-cut bass with solid and flat body made of alder. There are no excessive decorations on this black beauty, body is flat and finished in high gloss. Bridge section features a hardtail bridge with black plating over it and string-through construction. There`s only one pickup, the mighty MB-2E dual-coil pickup. It features master tone, master volume, 6-way rotary switch and a bypass mini switch. Neck on this model is made of seven laminates of maple and walnut with slim contour and heelless joint. It is topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. The fingerboard is decorated with cat-eye inlays. Scale measures 34" in length.
