Aria`s original SB series basses were the first Japanese basses to break the domination of Fender, Gibson, and Rickenbacker in the west. Some of the most influential players of the seventies and eighties played SBs.
SB-1000B/2 is a descendant of a proud, strong lineage, which goes back to the original 1000RIB model. It features a solid (flat-top) body, neck-through-body construction, customized electronics, as well as Gotoh hardware. Oak and See Through Blue Burst make the color palette. Main construction features include ash body wings (flat top, contoured back), seven-piece maple/walnut neck (heel-less cutaway), and ebony fingerboard (24 frets, dot inlays, 34" scale).
Other notable features include a four-saddled hardtail bridge, Gotoh GB720 tuners, and MB-1E humbucking pickups (w/B.B. Circuit).
