IC4S is a variant of IC4 bass with active electronics. It comes with a solid, double cutaway body made of alder and equipped with a neck-through neck joint. There are no top woods on the list of basic specs for this model, but Carvin offers many different ones as optional top covers. In the bridge section, Carvin installs a hipshot bass bridge with four saddles and string-through-body construction. Pickups configuration is the same as on the basic model, the J/J soapbar formation. These active pickups come with volume, pickup pan knob, stacked bass and stacked mid knobs. Neck is made of maple and it runs through the entire body. Fingerboard on IC4S is made of ebony. It comes with 24 medium jumbo frets, dot position inlays and 1.60" wide string nut.
