Icon Series Electric Bass Guitars by Carvin
Icon IC5W is a five-stringed Icon bass with Claro walnut top cover. The top is carved and finished in gloss lacquer. Carvin installs no pickguards on this model, as their aim is to accentuate the beauty and curves on this bass. Back wood on this model is alder, as it is on all Icon series models. In the pickups area Carvin provides a pair of their own single coil soapbar pickups. They come with active electronics and controls unit made up of master volume, pickup pan knob, stacked bass, stacked mid and sweep knobs. Bridge is a hipshot with string-through construction and five saddles. Neck is made of maple and it is covered with an ebony fingerboard. 24 medium jumbo frets, dot position inlays and 1.75" string nut complete the fingerboard.
