IC6W is a six-stringed variant of the Icon bass, and it comes with a Claro walnut top. The top is carved and finished in high gloss. There are no bindings or pickguards on the specs list for this model. The back of this double cutaway body is made of alder. this model, as well as all Icon models, features a neck-through-body construction. Bridge is a hipshot with six strings and string-through construction. In the pickups area Carvin installs a pair of their own single coil pickups with soapbar casings. Master volume, pickup pan knob, stacked bass, stacked mids and sweep knob comprise the controls unit. Neck is made of maple and it`s topped with Carvin`s standard ebony fingerboard. 24 medium jumbo frets are covered with dot position inlays.
