Though heavily focused on electric guitars, Chapman Guitars` catalog offered a small line of Standard Series basses (one model, to be exact) until 2018. This year, however, the four/five-string lineup is getting a significant boost with a pair of Pro Series models and a pair of first-ever Chapman Guitars signature basses. MLB1-5 Pro is the five-string Pro Series option; it is still in the prototype phase but is, nevertheless, included on the site together with the rest of the Pro Series axes. Main features include solid walnut body wings, through-body roasted maple/black walnut neck (5-piece construction), 24-fret wenge fingerboard (34" scale, 1.77" nut, 12th fret Infinity inlay), Chapman Monorail bridge, an undisclosed pair of soapbar pickups, and Wilkinson tuning machines.
