B models of the Artisan series are ranked below the ones with the A badge. They form the series standard and rank within the intermediate segment of the market. B4 Fretless is the only fretless model in the entire Artisan range and it is based upon the affordable, yet very solid, B4 model. This one comes with a solid, double-cut body made of ash and mahogany (Open Pore Natural color option features an ash body, while the Open Pore Mahogany comes with a mahogany body). Neck on this model is bolted and made of wenge. On the top of the body, Cort installs a hardtail bridge with four saddles and a pair of active humbucking pickups. Fretless fingerboard made of rosewood is installed on the top of the neck.
