B5 Plus AS is a brand new B-segment model of the Artisan series. Along with the other novelties, it was introduced at this year`s NAMM. Some of the common B-segment traits featured on this model include: 34" scale, bolt-on neck, Bartolini pickups, 24-fret fingerboard and open pore finish. Open Pore Natural is the only available color option. B5 Plus AS comes in with a solid and double-cut body made of swamp ash and a five-piece neck made of rosewood and wenge. On top of the slim and fast neck, Cort installs a 24-fret fingerboard with offset abalone dot inlays. Bartolini`s MK-1 soapbar pickups come in with a standard set of controls which includes Markbass MB-1 three-band EQ. EB12 hardtail bridge and Hipshot Ultralight tuners comprise the hardware unit.
