Gene Simmons is one of the most iconic and authentic people to ever appear on the rock scene. Over the course of more than four decades of his super successful career, Gene has played a multitude of basses, but Axe and Punisher have always been hallmarks of Gene`s stage appearance. Axe Bass is now made by Cort Guitars and is one of two models in Mr Simmons` signature line. It comes with a solid axe-shaped body made of mahogany. Due to it`s very specific design, Cort makes this model only in black color with gloss finish and chrome-plated hardware. Vintage-styled bridge and a pair of passive pickups (J/P arrangement) are installed on the top. maple neck is bolted to the body and fit with a C contour in the back. 21-fret rosewood fingerboard completes the specs.
