Metalman Z is based on the standard Z model guitar, which was one of four models which kickstarted the Dean Guitars back in 1970s. If we trace the line further down the road, the Z concept is based on the iconic Explorer shape Gibson introduced back in 1957 as a part of the Modernist series (the series failed miserably back in the 1950s and V and Z resurfaced in the 1970s as iconic metal guitars). Metalman Z is equipped with a single-cut basswood body and slim and fast maple neck. Bridge on the top is plated in black (black is the standard hardware color for the Metalman series) and fronted with a bridge-positioned humbucker. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
