Zone is probably the most popular of all electric bass lines in Dean catalog. Zone basses have gained their popularity back in the 1980s with the rise of glam rock movement. Zone four-stringers with flamboyant green and pink color schemes were among the most popular assets of a hair band on the rise. Today, however, Zone series has become more than just a visual statement and has grown into a line of seriously good basses. Zone XM is the best example for this claim. It comes with a solid and double-cut basswood body and bolted maple neck. On the top of the body, there`s a black four-saddled bridge and a middle-position humbucker. Maple neck on this model is equipped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
