Ashbory is one of the funniest and weirdest guitar and bass designs in history of electric instruments. It is a part of DeArmond`s five-piece electric bass section of the catalog. Other four models are regular, double-cut basses with solid bodies and standard scales. Ashbory has a kidney-shaped body made of the standard agathis. There is no top wood installed on this nylon-stringed bass. Instead of the regular 34" scale, DeArmond`s Ashbory bass is fit with a scale shorter than the guitar standard (25-1/2"). DeArmond makes the Ashbory in following color schemes: Moon Blue, Black and Frost Red Metallic.
