If there`s a player among the modern punk rock bassists who doesn`t need an introduction, it most certainly is Mike Dirnt. After a quarter of a century on bass and vocal posts in Green Day, Mike is both a veteran and an innovator. Squier version of his P Bass signature is a solid-bodied four-string with chrome hardware, passive electronics and high quality tonewoods. The flat and double-cut body is made of agathis while the bolt-on neck is made of maple. On top of the C-contoured neck, Squier installs a standard 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. The only pickup on this stripped down P Bass is the middle-positioned split single-coil (P pickup) with master volume and master tone controls. Hardtail bridge and vintage-styled tuning machines complete the specs list.
