Galaxie is one of several distinct and uniquely designed series in DiPinto catalog. it features both six-stringed guitars and four-stringed basses. Bass side of the series currently has only one model, the Galaxie. It is a solid-bodied four-stringer with a double-cut body made of mahogany. This flat-top bass also features bolt-on construction, standard 34" scale, four in-line tuning machines on the headstock, glossy finish over the body and neck and passive electronics. Galaxie features only one pickup, it is a middle-positioned P pickup and it features the basic controls unit (master volume and master tone knobs comprise it). Behind the pickup, DiPinto installs a four-saddled hardtail bridge with chrome plating. Maple neck is combined with a 22-fret fingerboard made of ebony.
