Les Paul Special Bass from Epiphone is every man`s variant of the upscale Les Paul basses found in Gibson USA catalog. This special four-stringer offers the signature Gibson/Epiphone quality of build, modern looks and modern tone for younger players willing to explore new frontiers beyond the Precision, Jazz and Thunderbird basses. Also, this one is Epiphone`s answer to the countless cheap Japanese basses. Body of this special LP bass is solid, single-cut and made of mahogany (traditional Epiphone/Gibson body tonewood). On the top, there`s a series standard hardtail bridge with four saddles and black plating. Two active humbuckers are installed in the front and they come with a basic set of controls. Mahogany neck is topped with a regular 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
