Thinline series (in LTD catalog known as TL) is primarily a line of thinline (thin hollow-body) six-string guitars. It was recently expanded with a trio of full-sized electro-acoustic bass guitars, of which TL-4Z is the basic model. TL-4Z comes in with a flat-top and single-cut body, set-in neck, piezo electronics, and elegant Thinline series styling. The price tags float around the $600 mark, which gives the 4Z a significant edge in comparison with models with similar characteristics. The only available color option is Natural (w/gloss finish, chrome hardware, abalone inlays). Core construction features include mahogany back & sides, zebrawood top (white binding), 3-piece mahogany neck (thin U profile), 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, fixed rosewood bridge, Fishman Sonicore pickup (w/TL3 preamp), and Grover tuners.
