'60s Jazz Bass Lacquer is a brand new model from the Classic series of electric guitars and basses made by Fender. This model, along with several others has been introduced at this year`s Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany. As it`s name says, this Jazz Bass pays tribute to the 1960s Jazz models. Back in the day, in 1961, Jazz Bass made it`s debut as an alternative to Precision Bass, which reigned the 1950s. Jazz offered more treble and narrower neck. Also, it had two single-coils, instead of one split humbucker. The current '60s Jazz Bass Lacquer follows the tradition of the early Jazz models. It comes with a solid, double-cut body with offset waist. Alder is used for the body, while the maple is used for the neck. Bridge is the vintage-styled American high mass bridge, which was very popular back in the day. Top-load construction, four adjustable saddles and chrome plating complete the bridge. Vintage Standard jazz pickups come with two volume knobs and one tone. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it features the classic C contour in the back. 20-fret rosewood fingerboard also features vintage-sized frets, white dot inlays, 1.50" synthetic bone nut and 7.25" radius.
