American Deluxe is one of the most expensive series in the standard Fender catalog, excluding the Custom Shop. Also, within the Fender catalog, only the specialized series can reach a higher price than the American Deluxe. There are two material options for the body. One is alder and the other one is swamp ash. Also, the fingerboard can be made of rosewood, or maple. Both variants are available for this upscale four-stringer. On the top of the body, regardless of the material used, there`s a four-saddled hardtail bridge and a pair of upscale Fender pickups. Controls unit is fit with an extended range of options and controls. Neck on this model is made of maple and has a standard back contour. 21-fingerboard on top is marked with dot inlays.
