Sandblasted satin finish is the main theme of a limited edition of guitars and basses introduced into the 2015 edition of Fender`s catalog. One of two basses is Limited Edition Sandblasted Jazz Bass with Ash Body. Precision model completes the four-string duo of Limited Edition Sandblasted models. These four models have many things in common and ash body is one of them. On this particular model, it features the classic Jazz Bass profile and contour. Like the rest of the Sandblasted limiteds, this Jazz Bass is offered in Crimson Red Transparent and Sapphire Blue Transparent. Both color options are finished in urethane satin and feature black plastics, along with combined chrome/nickel hardware. Hardtail bridge featured on the top is equipped with four adjustable saddles and features chrome plating. In its front, Fender installs a pair of American Standard series Jazz Bass single-coil pickups. Two volume knobs and a single master tone knob comprise the controls unit of this exquisite four-stringer. Maple-made neck rocks the standard C profile in the back and a 20-fret maple fingerboard on the top (maple fingerboard was chosen as a contrast to both the Crimson Red and Sapphire Blue color schemes, as well as the black plastics). The fingerboard features a set of 20 medium jumbo frets, black dot inlays and 1.5" wide synthetic bone nut.
