Vintage Hot Rod series is one of many vintage-styled lines in Fender catalog and it`s being heavily reinforced for the fall of 2013. Up till now, the series has been made up of only three six-stringed guitars, but from now on, it will have seven guitars and two basses. One of the newly introduced basses is Vintage Hot Rod `70s Jazz Bass. It is a solid and double-cut bass with the classic offset waist body made of alder. Flat-top design and bolt-on neck joint construction are classic Fender features, along with the large headstock with a set of in-line vintage-styled tuning machines. Chrome-plated hardware, 34" scale and modified pickups are also featured on this model. On the top of the body, Fender installs a vintage-styled hardtail bridge with four saddles and chrome plating. In the front, there are two pickups, a jazz pickup in the bridge and P pickup in the middle position. They are equipped with a standard set of controls. C-shaped maple neck is bolted to the body and topped with a standard 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Medium jumbo frets, block inlays and 1.50 bone nut complete the specs.
