Fernandes is one of the most significant manufacturers form Japan, right there with ESP, Ibanez and Yamaha. Their catalog in recent decades has completely been focused on hard rock and metal-oriented guitars and basses, shifting from flamenco and classical guitars with which Fernandes started back in 1969. Despite the Spanish name, Fernandes is a Japanese brand (it was named Fernandes so that it`s instruments would be regarded with more respect in guitar world) with a wide variety of both guitars and basses. Atlas series of basses currently has four models and Atlas 4 X is it`s basic model. Solid and double-cut alder body is paired with a bolted maple neck and it`s topped with a lone bridge-positioned humbucker. 21-fret maple fingerboard completes the specs.
