Thunderbird is, along with the Precision Bass, Jazz Bass and Rickenbacker 4000 basses, the premier electric bass. Above mentioned four and five-stringers have shaped the face of popular music in last sixty years and, as it seems, they`ll continue to do so for, at least, next sixty years. 2015 year brings the overhauled Thunderbird Bass with improved electronics and classic construction. Solid and flat mahogany wings are glued onto the 9-piece mahogany/walnut neck which runs through the body. This gives enough power and sustain to cut through any and every mix out there. On the other side, two passive humbuckers are equipped with separate coil split switches to add the sensitive side to this raging beast. Two volume knobs act as the pickup selector. Master tone knob wraps the controls unit. Three-point adjustable bridge has four adjustable saddles and black chrome plating. Mahogany/walnut neck has the standard rounded XL contour in the back and a 20-fret fingerboard (thick, one-piece fingerboard is featured on the 2015 Thunderbird). Grover Tulip tuners are featured on the headstock. The MSRP for this magnificent four-stringer is set at $2,599.
