G5442BDC is one of two bass models introduced into the Electromatic Collection for the upcoming 2012 Summer NAMM Show. It is a short scale bass, as it`s scale measures only 30-1/4" in length. Other features include enclosed Precision tuning machines with chrome plating and double cutaway body construction. This model is available in two color options, black and Transparent Red. They are both finished in high gloss urethane finish, a feature common to the entire series. Body of this model is made of five layers of maple. Back, sides and top are made of this one material. Back and top are bound in white binding and the top is equipped with a pair of "f" holes. Pickguard is not featured on this model. Bridge section is a standard one and it is equipped with adjust-o-matic bridge with rosewood base in the front, while the chrome-plated trapezoid tailpiece is in the back. Pickups are Filtertron humbuckers adjusted for four-stringed bass guitars. Master volume and tone are accompanied by bridge volume and neck volume knobs. Pickups switch is a three-way toggle. Neck on this model is made of maple and it is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 22 frets, 1.60" wide string nut and humpblock inlays complete the fingerboard specs.
