Acoustic Look 12 String Bass from the USA Chaparall series is probably one of the weirdest basses on the regular production lines of the guitar industry (excluding the small custom and boutique shops). This is a solid-bodied electric bass with a single-cut body and twelve strings. That`s right, twelve strings. In the essence, this is a four-stringed bass with additional two courses of strings. Body of this peculiar model is styled to deceive the unsuspecting people in the crowd that it is an acoustic-electric bass, when in fact, this is a solid-bodied electric. On the top, it features a hardtail bridge and a pair of active pickups (humbucker plus P pickup). Neck on this model is made of maple and it features vintage round contour. 21-fret rosewood fingerboard is on it`s top.
