Chaparral 12 String Bass also has it`s XT series variant, which is much more affordable than it`s USA series twin. This is another crazy twelve-stringed bass with a solid, double-cut body and modern styling. Body of this unique bass is solid, double-cut and made of basswood, instead of mahogany (basswood is the standard body wood for the XT series, replacing the mahogany, which is reserved for the upscale USA series models). Hamer offers this one in black with glossy finish and chrome hardware. On it`s top, there is a hardtail bridge with designed to support twelve strings and a pair of humbucking pickups. Neck on this model is made of maple and it`s bolted to the body. On it`s top, there is a 21-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
