ATK1205 is a brand new model from the ATK Prestige series of solid-bodied electric basses made by Ibanez. Most important principles of the ATK series are straightforward design and the ultimate versatility. ATKs can be used for any type and genre of music in the existence. And quite possibly, for some yet unknown to man. 1205 model extends the reach of the series to the five-string region. Some may say it looks plain, for it certainly does not look like it was found in hangar 18, but on the other side, it sounds like it`s from out of this world. Biggest reason for that, literally, is the double humbucker installed in the bridge position. It is actually a quadruple-coil pickup with it`s own coil selector mini switch. Three configurations can be selected: bridge hum/neck hum, bridge and neck. besides this monster pickup ATK1205 features a single coil in the middle position. Master volume, balance knob, three-band equalizer and bridge pickup switch are included into the controls unit. Bridge is the ATK series standard with five saddles. Neck is made of three pieces of maple and sports the ATK contour in the back. On it`s top, there`s a 22-fret maple fingerboard. Body is solid, double-cut and made of ash.
