BTB1406E is the six-string variant of the BTB1405E. It is made for players who find five strings are just not enough. Both of these models were introduced at this year`s NAMM show in Anaheim, Ca. Besides the string count, these two have much in common. Body of this model features neck-through construction and beveled edges on the top. Tone woods used for the body are mahogany for the wings and flamed maple for the top. Vintage Natural Flat is chosen by Ibanez to be the only standard color scheme for BTB1406E. This bass easily qualifies as a boutique instrument with the build quality, huge tone and Ibanez signature playability. Rock-solid stability of the tuning is achieved with top notch tuners and Mono Rail bridge with six completely independent saddles. Nordstrand single coil pickups have an elaborate controls unit. Master volume, balance knob, three-band equalizer and a pair of mini-switches guarantee supreme versatility. Neck is made of seven pieces of wood. Maple, bubinga and walnut are being used. On it`s top, there`s a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
