BTB series was envisioned as a line of boutique-level basses, but at Ibanez regular catalog prices. A task of immense difficulty for even the biggest and boldest brands out there, but years of BTB`s perseverance and endurance have shown what unflinching tenacity and dedication can do. The brand new BTB1805E is a Premium class instrument. It is a five-stringed bass with neck-through-body construction, layered body, passive electronics and finest hardware Ibanez has to offer. This majestic BTB starts off with a 9-piece neck made of wenge, bubinga and maple, with BTB5 profile in the back. Mahogany/ash/rosewood sandwiched wings complete the body. 24-fret rosewood fingerboard tops the neck. Major hardware and electronics features include five-saddled Monorail V bridge, Gotoh tuners (both gold-plated) and Aguilar DCB pickups (passive, with extended controls unit).
