GSR series is the GIO variant of the world-wide famous SR line. It offers affordable electric basses with four and five-string construction and simple design and electronics. For 2014, Ibanez is updating this series with six new models and GSR200B is one of them. As opposed to the GSR200 and 205SM, GSR200B has an all-mahogany body (SM models have spalted maple tops). Standard maple neck is featured on the GSR200B, as well. Ibanez offers this sturdy and simple four-stringer in only one color option, Walnut Flat with satin finish and black hardware. On the top, there is the standard B10 bridge with four saddles. Hardtail bridge is fronted with a pair of passive PSND pickups. Classic J/p configuration is used on this one. In the controls unit, players will find two volume knobs (which jointly act as the pickup switch), master tone knob and the PHATII EQ knob. Maple neck is fit with the standard GSR contour in the back and is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
