Mike D`Antonio of Killswitch Engage is among the most important and influential metal bass players around. This especially goes for the American scene forming around the bands like Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb of God and many others. His signature line of basses in Ibanez catalog is currently three models strong and MDB1 is the bass that started the series. It comes with a solid, double-cut body made of ash. It has a flat top and neck-through-body construction. Bridge on the top is fit with four adjustable saddles and has a cosmo black plating. Two full-sized humbuckers are controlled through a stacked volume/tone knob. Neck on this metal beast is made of five pieces of maple and walnut and it is topped with a standard 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
