In Ibanez dictionary, letter F, when added to the name of a model, usually stands for fretless, which is the case with the SR300F. This affordable and versatile four-stringer also has the fretless variant. Other than the fret count, this one is identical to it`s fretted twin brother, the SR300. Body is solid, double-cut and made of agathis. It is carved on top and fit with modern hardware. Bridge section on the top of the body is fit with a series standard four-saddled bridge with black plating. In the front, Ibanez installs a pair of soapbar pickups. Controls unit for these pickups is made up of standard knobs and switches. Maple and rosewood neck is bolted to the body and it is topped with a rosewood fingerboard.
